It all began in 1997 when I took a Begin to Quilt class at the local fabric store. I was hooked! Later, I began to design my own quilts and experiment with using thread to accent my machine appliqué pieces. After many requests and a couple years to talk myself into it I began publishing my own patterns and teaching my Thread Painting techniques locally at quilt shops. In 2003 I went to Quilt Market with Embellishment Village where my patterns and teaching really took off. Pattern sales exploded, as did requests for more patterns and teaching engagements. My business has now expanded into exploring surface design and other textile arts, and who knows what that will lead to!
